Sidescan -- KY Lake Northeast

The data set includes the eastern Kentucky Lake bays: Smith, Duncan, Sugar, Higgins, Rhodes, Savells, Vickers, and Barnett.

It is also sold in combination with the "East Side Bays South" set.

Extreme resolution sidescan imagery of key bays of Lake Barkley including the Eureka flats, Nickel Branch, Willow Bay, Demumbers Bay, Crab Cr., and Carmack Bay. Total acreage approximately 2550 acres. More info to be added very soon to this listing and the site.

This area includes the original topo coverage of the Kentucky Lake East Side Bays South, but expanded into the flats in the backs of the bays.

The total acreage of the area in color represents 2000 acres.

The 3 secondary channel sections in the western side of the image are in Kentucky water. The 7 bay datasets on the east side are in Tennessee waters.

The major bays included in this set are Rushing, Ginger, Clay, Tischel, Byrd, Hughes, and Panther.

Jonathan_SS.jpg This set of images includes nearly 2000 acres worth of Sidescan imagery in a major crappie bay. Excellent ledge fishing for bass is well known in the outer half of the bay closest to the Tennessee river. (Completed July 2005)

Sidescan_BR.jpg This set of data includes a huge 2800 acres worth of Sidescan imagery in another of the best crappie fisheries in Kentucky Lake. Thousands of structural features are easily identified with GPS coordinates readily available. (Completed January 2005)

Blood River is the largest Kentucky Lake Bay in Kentucky with Jonathan as a close second. Many generations of crappie fishermen have visited this area of Kentucky Lake over the years.

Sidescan -- Big Sandy North

Sidescan_BSN.jpg This set of sidescan images includes a huge 3650 acres worth of data in one of the best crappie fisheries in Kentucky Lake. Thousands and thousands of structural features are easily identified. Stakebeds and stump fields are easy to find among the seemingly endless miles of ledges and meandering historic Big Sandy River channel. (Completed October 2004)

Sidescan -- Big Sandy South


This is the largest sidescan section of Kentucky Lake to date. This set encompasses over 4000 acres of the famous Big Sandy Embayment. The area of coverage is from Big Sandy River mile 5.5 (powerline), south the river mile 12 (just northeast of Country Junction). The entire West Sandy/Britton Ford arm has been sidescanned along with Swamp creek. The area originally Topo and 3D mapped is the core area that has been expanded by over 100%. Be sure to see the product page for a full representation of the area sidescanned.

The area is definitely not lacking for cover in this crappie haven. One can easily identify 10,000 structural features (a very conservative estimate). Visit for sample images.

SS_Donaldson.jpg The is a relatively small bay in central Barkley Lake. The area of coverage is approximately 400 acres. A great place to escape the wind on those blustery days. Both natural and manmade structure exist here, with dynamic topography near the mouth. The bay is on the east side of the lake and the nearest town is Canton, KY. Local access to the bay is at the Calhoun Hill boat ramp.
